About

Business Law Advisory is a law firm specializing in commercial law.  Peter Hercules has 40 years experience in business law. He is passionate about success in business, using the law to build success in business is his art.

Peter graduated with a law degree from University of Melbourne in 1980. He worked for several medium and large regional and CBD firms before opening his own law practice in 1991.

Early in his career Peter developed an interest in business law, working on copyright and creative talent, business innovations and startups.  This led to an interest in business structures,  equity raising, crowd sourced funding and corporate governance.

Peter likes to visit the office, factory or workspace where clients work, so he can see and understand their business, and offer practical legal insights.

Peter explains, negotiates and writes business contracts, with an emphasis on making them easy to understand. Using transparent business documents assists clients and their customers in developing relationships of trust and mutual respect.

Through curiosity and interaction with a diverse range of enterprises, he has developed a deep knowledge of how business works, what makes it tick, what entrepreneurs can do to protect their innovations and how to grow a foundation business safely with minimised risk.

Peter has served on the Boards of a number of Clubs and not for profit enterprises, and advised companies on Board room strategy and corporate governance.
